ENSŌ
ENSŌ is a behavioral change system that merges a physical device, the ENSŌ Totem, with a supportive mobile application, designed to help individuals manage compulsive behaviors through technological and social nudges. Grounded in behavioral science, the system utilizes a combination of haptic feedback, visual signals, and voice interaction to reinforce positive habits, supported by an app that aids in planning and tracking progress. The goal of this project is to enhance community well-being by making behavioral improvement accessible and engaging, leveraging the latest research to effectively bridge the gap between intention and action.
The Habit Loop is a concept that explains how habits are formed and maintained. Understanding this loop can help in creating new habits or modifying existing ones
1. Cue (Trigger): A signal that initiates the habit. Example: Hearing your alarm clock.
2. Craving: The desire or motivation to perform the habit due to the anticipation of the reward. Example: Wanting to feel awake and refreshed.
3. Response (Routine):The action performed in response to the cue and craving. Example: Brushing your teeth.
4. Reward: The positive reinforcement received after the routine, satisfying the craving. Example: Feeling refreshed and ready for the day.
